![]() 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 “...pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” ~NRSV We can write a sincere letter to someone for their help. We write what we may need and what will help us as a result of sending this letter. But if we put that letter in the mail without putting a ‘stamp’ on it, it’s not going anywhere. This is how our prayers work as well when it comes to our trials and sufferings. In our emotional and mental struggles through our pain, addictions and sorrow, we can pray all we want to. But if we do not believe in the prayer we are sending, meaning we don’t believe God will answer. And if we don’t ‘stamp’ our prayers with the ‘intention’ of the kingdom, meaning praying in the name of Jesus, then it is like sending a letter in the mail without a stamp. Our prayers don’t go anywhere. In order for God to show up and show out for us when we pray, we must include the celebration of His glory, in what He has done for us already. In other words, as the text says, “...give thanks in all circumstances…” and believe that God will and can do what He says He will do. Knowing that God is bigger than our biggest problem. We have to believe that and be ready to give Him the glory in our testimony when we receive His blessing in miracle. In obedience we must continue to, “...pray without ceasing…” because God loves to hear from us in good times as well as our down times. When we do what we are supposed to because we know, “...the will of God in Christ Jesus for…” us, we will find it easier to know that all things are possible with God. Because He loves all His children. May God bless and keep you under His umbrella of love, protection, wisdom and strength as we journey in Jesus’ name. Amen
