Discover The Secret That Will Shift Your Mindset!

 
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. -Colossians 3:-3


​I have been a believer since the age of 10 and I have to admit, I never have really understood this scripture Colossians 3:1-3.   You would think this would be clear to me since I am a Preachers Kid.  It was only in my adult years when I really understood what it means to be raised in new life with Christ.  I learned that God makes all things new.  Once we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ died and rose again, we are saved and “made new”. 

When you are made new, you must put off the old and put on the new.  I found that to be difficult because my flesh still craved the things of this world.  I still thought about me and just me.  I still needed approval of people to feel valued.  I was not free in my mind and my thoughts were not on things in heaven. 

Around 2007, I learned the power in speaking out loud “Words of Affirmation”.  This was the technique that raised my awareness of having a spiritual mindset.  The bible teaches us that there is life and death in the power of the tongue.  Are you speaking life or death?  If you want to think on the things that are above and not the things of this earth, then try coupling “Words of Affirmation” with prayer in your daily routine.

Hey, just to make it easy for you.  Here are some affirmations you can try:

• I am free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).
• I am far from oppression, and fear does not come near me (Isaiah 54:14).
• I am born of God, and the evil one does not touch me (1 John 5:18).
• I am holy and without blame before Him in love (Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:16).
• I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16; Philippians 2:5).
• I have the peace of God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7)
