Do you have bad days more than you really would like? Are you looking to totally eliminate your bad days? Well, did you know that God is strong when we are weak! Yes. Let's look at this scripture to learn more. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me. So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. We all have what we consider our ‘bad days’. One minute our life is going well, and then something happens that makes us say, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ ‘I try and do the right thing but then something always happens?’ On these bad days we feel like we’ve had enough. Work and co-workers may fuel our anger. Our children may try our patience. Our family may test us by criticizing our decisions in our relationships or even how we are raising our children. All of this can weaken us spiritually. When our spirits are weakened our natural selves are cut loose and running wild. Everything that is not of the fruits can be sent out from us to others. When your spirit is weak, you unwillingly authorize the works of the flesh to take over. Hatred, strife, outbursts, selfish ambitions and anger can be born out of your spiritual weakness; if you allow it. Here is the good news! Did you know that God has created, in you, all that you need within you to overcome all that may come upon you. Since we have been talking about what may come as a result of your spirit being weakened; let us turn our focus on what can happen when we strengthen our spirit. There are 3 Principals that we will share over the next few blogs. Be sure to drop us your email and join our community to receive the following ones right in your inbox! Principal: Christ affirms us when the world rejects you. First of all we have to ‘undo’ what the world has put in us. Romans 12:2 says we must “…be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Your mindset has to be renewed and when that happens, your lifestyle will be transformed. You will feel great and your awareness of things around you will be change. Be ready for the world to criticize you. Those close to you may make light of your obedience. If you put your trust and faith in man, you will become discouraged and your journey to become renewed will be a short one. To avoid this discouragement always keep the scripture in your heart and know that the renewing of your mind includes knowing without doubt that Christ affirms us even in the mist of the world’s negative taunts and chaos. Those times when you think you’ve had enough; remember His power is perfected in your weakness. Instead of giving up during your trial, call on Him without doubt, and know that His strength will pull you through. His grace is all you need. His affirmation is your confirmation for victory.
