Are you willing to do what it takes to make your marriage better? This is the question we have to ask ourselves as married people. What "it" takes may not be comfortable or come natural to you. So in many cases we steer clear of doing what "it" actually takes to make our marriages great. We are reminded in Galatians 6:9 of when Paul was writing to the church of Galatia, which was the church he established on his first missionary journey. He wanted to encourage them to keep going. To keep fighting the good fight of faith. To not get tired in doing what is right. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. They could not give up now, the church had come to far to turn back. We must have the same stamina today for our marriages. We can't turn back or give up. We must stay the course and at the right time God will bless us with a harvest. As we work and wait on the harvest there are a few key principals to follow: First, we must expect our harvest to come. We have planted good seed by doing what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord. So expect Him to grow your harvest that will be reaped. Secondly, we must water the good seed planted. The only way to water a seed is by giving God the praise and glory in the waiting period. Just a simple thank you Jesus every moment you think about your marriage is plenty of water. Instead of thinking of the bad and what's not working, always think of the good seed and how it is working for you. That is the water it needs to grow. Lastly, be ready to pull the weeds out. This means to pluck out any areas in you that are not glorifying to God the Father. Maybe it's your bad attitude or your impatient spirit. Rebuke the attacks of the enemy which are the weeds, so that your harvest will be plentiful. Following these principals will ensure that your harvest will be great and right on time. You may ask, what exactly is my harvest? We say, whatever you and your spouse are believing God for in this season is your harvest. Just don't stop believing! That is the key.
